On August 14, 2021, a 7.2 magnitude earthquake had struck our beloved land of Haiti. Saturday’s earthquake so far has left at least 5,700 people injured, with thousands more displaced from their destroyed or damaged homes. Survivors in some areas were forced to wait out in the open amid oppressive heat for help from overloaded hospitals.
We at the Haitian American Nurses Association of Hudson Valley are distraught by this devastating news, as we send our thoughts and prayers, we know more is needed to help the people that have been impacted by this distressing tragedy.
We are organizing a Medical Supply Drive to help those affected. Would you consider donating monetarily? Your donations will have an encouraging impact to the people who are directly affected by this devastating earthquake and will be used to provide food and shelter for immediate relief.
We pray for strength, comfort, guidance, and the mental wellness of all affected.
L’union fait la force!
