December of 2018 was that start to a fulfilling nursing career. Fanette started working as a Rehab RN at Osborn in Rye, NY; following that she has obtained a position as a OPWDD nurse working with intellectually disabled community which has given her so much purpose and joy with working in a community and helping each individual reach their set goals. From there in March 2019, she embarked on a journey that would change the way she views nursing and the important roles the nurses play during the height of the COVID pandemic. She was amongst the first responders deployed within her home city Manhattan NY. In moments of uncertainty within the country she realized the only way to tackle this was to help her home state. Amid darkness, Fanette was able to see the real core values of Nightingale within her field work, there she worked as a Critical Care nurse within the Intensive Care Unit. Later within the same year, Fanette was later deployed to work within the Southern part of Texas that was dealing with the pandemic and once the mission was completed and the number of cases had decreased, she later returned home to her family. This did not stop there for Fanette, she became a travel nurse and worked within the local hospitals within the community.

Fanette is a member of the prestigious nursing organization known as Haitian American Nurses Association of Hudson Valley, NY, Inc. (H.A.N.A.) since 2019. She participated in the Autism Speaks walk and from there she became a member of the gala committee. She has been inspired by so many nurses of the same cultural background and realized that H.A.N.A. would be a home for her to flourish within the community as well as aboard. She received a Rising Star Award for her outstanding service and devotion to the organization in September 2022. Fanette is now the current Secretary of this immaculate organization, and she continues to be of service to her community.
