The Haitian American Nurses Association of Hudson Valley, NY, Inc. (HANA Hudson Valley) proudly presents its 17th Annual Scholarship & Fundraising Awards Gala on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at The Terrace, 293 Paramus Road, Paramus, NJ 07642. This elegant evening will begin with a cocktail hour at 7:00 PM, followed by a night of celebration, recognition, and entertainment that continues until 12:30 AM.

The gala will feature an inspiring program including the presentation of scholarship awards to deserving nursing students, honors for community leaders, and special recognitions such as the President’s Award and Nurse of the Year. Distinguished honorees include:

  • Daniela Ducasse, MBA, HRS, BSHA, CP, NSA – Service and Dedication Award
  • Sun River Health / Anne Kaufman Nolon, MPH – Community Impact Award
  • Maxine Smalling, MS, BS(N), RN – Outstanding Service Award
  • Marisa Nadas, MD, MPH – Humanitarian Award

Guests will also enjoy live entertainment by Harmonik and DJ Woodz, along with an open bar. Tickets are $200 per person.

The gala serves as one of HANA’s most important fundraising initiatives, supporting scholarship opportunities for aspiring nurses, advancing community health outreach, and sustaining the organization’s mission to promote health, prevent disease, and empower the next generation of healthcare leaders.

Founded in 2008, HANA Hudson Valley has grown into a powerful network of nurses and community advocates. Its impact extends locally through health fairs, symposiums, and educational outreach, and internationally through initiatives such as nursing scholarships in Haiti and global health missions.
